EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado — Cos Bar, an Aspen-based company that has shops in Vail and Edwards, is part of a new program Target stores will roll out in May.

According to an e-mail from company spokesman Evan Miller, the program, called “the Shops at Target,” will put limited-edition items from five specialty stores into Target stores around the nation. Miller wrote that the Shops at Target items will be “affordable limited-edition collections designed and co-created by the shop owners.”

The items will be available for just six weeks at a time.

Besides Cos Bar, other participating stores are Polka Dog Bakery of Boston, The Candy Store of San Francisco, The Webster of Miami and Privet House of Warren, Ct.

Miller wrote that Target approached Cos Bar owner Lily Garfield about creating a collection for the national chain. The resulting collection “includes luxury body care, bath accessories, beauty tools and cosmetic bags in eye-catching prints, as well as manicure essentials in a variety of bright colors,”

Select pieces from the Cos Bar at Target collection will be available May 6 in all Target stores. In all, there are 44 pieces in the Cos Bar at Target collection. Prices range from $1 to $20.
