Catholic Week
St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School kindergarten through eighth-grade students, families and parishioners celebrated 2012 National Catholic Schools Week by integrating their Catholic faith into the academic curriculum, as well as hosting special religious events. Catholic Schools Week is designed to let students embrace their freedom to know, love and serve God. Students expressed their faith by attending Holy Mass, reenacting biblical scenes, decorating classroom doors in the theme of the church and solving gigantic puzzles depicting St. Francis or St. Clare. Reaching outside of their school community, the St. Clare of Assisi community also donated diapers to the Pregnancy Resource Center in Glenwood Springs.
“The kids loved it, and they will never forget this Catholic Schools Week,” said Sister Rita Rae, the school principal.

Yoga practice
Join Julia Clarke on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at YOB. The class is only $25. Engage the rhythmic pulsations, graceful transitions and integrated alignment of prana flow to ease yourself out of the dizzying spiral of anxiety and depression and return you to an embodied sense of deeply belonging in time-space. This evolutionary sequence then spills you into an extended practice of the supported renewal of Anjali Restorative Yoga, a poetic offering of thoughtful meditations and reclining poses that will awaken your heart and leave you ready to step courageously back into the world. This practice is suitable for healthy practitioners of all levels. Please email yogaoffbroadway@gmail.com to sign up.
