Five local middle school students will be traveling with Children's Global Alliance to Rivas, Nicaragua, in July to work in a school for children with special needs. To help fundraise for their trip, they are hosting a middle school dance for all seventh- and eighth-graders in the valley today at the Singletree Pavilion from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Please join Meaghan Sheahan, Makena Cooper, Maddie Warren, Douglas McMurrain and Kevin Nichols as they host the Team Nicaragua Fundraising Dance. Ski or ride to make a difference in the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis! Vertical Express for Can Do MS is returning to Steamboat Ski & Resort on Feb. 26 at 8 a.m. Teams of three skiers, riders or telemarkers are wanted to compete! Each team member will receive a free lift ticket at Steamboat on event day, meals during the event, a goodie bag, an event T-shirt and chances to win prizes.
