VAIL, Colorado — The Vail Valley Partnership- the Chamber & Tourism Bureau, honored its annual “Success Award” winners at a Feb. 10 gala at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort. R.A. Nelson and Associates took the evening's top award and was honored as “Business of the Year.”
Winners were announed in seven other categories: Small Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Spirit of the Valley — formerly the Corporate Citizenship Award — New Business of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year and Member of the Year.
The winners were:
• Small Business of the Year: Vail Valley Dental Care.
• Entrepreneur of the Year: Kevin Selvy of Crazy Mountain Brewing Company.
• Spirit of the Valley Award: Holli Snyder of NRC365 Mountain Network.
• New Business of the Year: Four Seasons Resort Vail.
• Young Professional of the Year: Megan Gilman of Active Energies LLC.
• Non-Profit of the Year: Bright Future Foundation.
• Member of the Year: Jorge Umana of SteamMaster Cleaning and Restoration LLC.
The Bright Future Foundation's award was previously announced, and portion of the proceeds from the evening's silent auction will be donated to the group.
The Bright Future Foundation is Eagle County's only abuse agency and strives to empower individuals and families affected by domestic violence and abuse to lead safe and productive lives.
“The Partnership offers our congratulations to all the nominees, and we are happy to recognize the winners for their contribution to the Vail Valley business community," said Chris Romer, executive director of the Partnership.
