On Valentine's Day, we will publish our popular valentine love notes. This year, the first 20 words are free for each note when you use our Web form to place the note. The deadline is Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Hunter education class
The Whistling Bullets 4-H Shooting Sports Club is hosting a hunter education dlass Feb. 18 and 19 at the Eagle County Exhibit Hall at the Eagle County Fairgrounds in Eagle. Cost is $10. Attendance is required both days to complete the class. Class hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 18 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 19. Any student 12 or younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible person 18 or older. Anyone born after Jan. 1, 1949 must have a hunter education card to purchase a hunting license in Colorado. This class is a fundraiser for the 4-H club so we will be selling concessions during the class.
Class size is limited to the first 85 people to preregister per Division of Wildlife regulations. To preregister and get more information, please call Dave Hammond at 970-328-7818.
