Sky isn't falling in Eagle

The sky is falling in Eagle. Lions and tigers and low tax revenue, oh my...

The proponents of ERS want us to believe that the Eagle will dry up and blow away if this massive development is not passed. Heck, not even the turkey vultures or coyotes will be able to eek out a living. We should all be prepared to load up the wagon and ride off into the sunset.

Now I've heard a radio spot with our old friend Roxie touting the merits of ERS in which she points out how she has been on the town council forever and served as mayor for almost as long. I must surmise that she is admitting what an inept job she has done for all those years that our only way out is to approve ERS.

And what about our town manager? He's been here forever too. Are we to believe that he has done such a deplorable job as manager that we cannot survive as a town without ERS? If so, he should resign immediately out of pure shame.

Fortunately, I have confidence that my neighbors can see through these ridiculous scare tactics and point RED Development back to Kansas City from which they came, I'm sure Dorothy and Toto are waiting for them there.
