'Thriller' dance class for teens at Avon Public Library

Own the Night teen summer reading program at Eagle Valley Library District brings a two-part instructional session of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" for teens led by Vicky Fields of DanzartZ Studios in Denver to Avon on July 10 and July 12 from noon to 2 p.m.

Fields has been dancing and performing for 25 years including Jazz and ballet, salsa and Latin, swing, as well as Argentine tango and ballroom. She knows the difference between competition ballroom style, performance exhibition style and social street style dancing. She taught 250 people to dance Thriller on Halloween at the 16th Street Mall in 2009 and 2010.

Learn the moves - and dance it in costume --at the library's Zombie Party on July 31. Register for the reading program for a chance to win cool prizes including a Nook-glow. For more information and to register, call Cathy at 970-949-6797. Class space is limited to 40 teens.
