Vail Daily letter: It was time to stop

Kudos to the town of Gypsum for choosing to remove themselves from the revenue-sharing with the town of Eagle. This has been something discussed among the Gypsum residents for quite a while.

Now that Eagle has reversed their stance on big box store developments (they turned down the potential for Costco, among others), we in Gypsum no longer have the need to financially aid them along with supporting ourselves.

Should Eagle and Gypsum decide to open that revenue-sharing door again, after ERS is revenue producing of course, I would hope and anticipate that both towns will put that question on a ballot.

Until such day, I am pleased for Eagle and I am very happy that the town of Gypsum said no to continuing this revenue sharing agreement.
