First adopted in 1996, the Eagle River Watershed Plan provides information on the status of streams and rivers in the county, and outlines a collaborative philosophy for protecting and improving water quantity, water quality, wildlife habitat and water-related recreational opportunities. Work to update the plan began in 2010, in recognition of the changes that occurred in the county during the previous 16 years.
