Season of Song offers community passes

VAIL - Next week, song-writers and music lovers will gather in Vail, Colorado at the first annual Season of Song. From Sept. 20 - 23, attendees can expect great entertainment and inspiration, set against the backdrop of the beautiful fall colors of Vail. Twelve world-class songwriters will share the back-stories to some of their greatest hits, including "Peaceful, Easy Feeling," "I Hope you Dance," "The Wind Beneath my Wings," "Wichita Lineman" and "Best of my Love," just to name a few.

"We all know and love their songs; now we'll hear what inspired these writers to create them," said organizer Morris Lawrence.

Season of Song wants this event to be easily accessible to the local community and is now offering limited passes for the nightly concerts starting at just $25, and whole day passes starting at $50. Nightly concerts at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater will include performances by Dala and Elephant Revival on Thursday, Beth Nielsen Chapman and David Wilcox on Sept. 21, and J.D. Souther, Jimmy Webb and Jack Tempchin on Sept. 22.

A limited number of VIP passes will also be sold, providing admission to special VIP-only events, which include meet-and-greets with the artists.

Season of Song supports two charities: Strike a Chord, which provides the gift of music to seriously ill and disadvantaged children; and Plant it 2020, founded by John Denver to reforest the planet. A portion of all proceeds, including our auction, will directly help to make this world a better place. Visit www.seasonofsong.com to learn more.
