From 5 p.m. on, 15 percent of sales will go to Shaw Regional Cancer Center to help local women in need of diagnostic procedures. The Dusty Boot will have live music by the Olora Bros. & Friends.
Army Pfc. Nicholas J. Certeza has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. In nine weeks of training, he studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises. Certeza is the son of Elizabeth Lambert, of Eagle. He is a 2005 graduate of Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum.
