Eagle Scout project benefits Gypsum Library

The Gypsum Public Library and the Eagle Valley Library District would like to thank local Eagle Scout Nick Richins for the two beautiful, hand-built picnic tables with benches that he made for the Gypsum Public Library.

The tables are now located in the library's enclosed patio area and the front lawn. Nick built the tables to fulfill the requirements for his Eagle Scout Service Project. Nick is a member of Troop 230, under the leadership of Bill Ponder.

Nick is a freshman at Eagle Valley High School. He began the picnic table project in February and donated the finished products to the library in September after building, sanding and staining the tables in his backyard in Gypsum.

Nick would like to acknowledge those who donated money or supplies to his project, including: Alpine Lumber (donated materials), Alpine Bank, Adair Dental and Bronn Trucking for financial support. He would also like to thank Troop 230 and the Steiner, Logan, Smith and Thurman families for their time and hard work making this project a success.
