VAIL - Balata, the restaurant at Sonnenalp Golf Club in Singletree, will reopen its doors on Thursday for the winter season with new General Manager Luke Callaghan and a re-crafted menu by Executive Chef Steve Topple.
The menu consists of Southwestern-style themed dishes including chicken tortilla soup, smoked chicken empanadas, mushroom quesadillas, tempura-style lobster tail, blackened catfish, stuffed peppers, New Mexico spiced pork tenderloin and an assortment of salads and other locals' favorites.
"Our goal is to give our locals a place close to home where they can relax and enjoy some of the best food in town," said Callaghan. "We also have unique themed specials every night that we hope guests will take part in."
Balata is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and open Thursday through Monday from 5 p.m. to close. Daily specials are valid through April 1, 2013 and restrictions may apply. Tax and gratuity are not included. For more information call 970-477-5353 or visit balatarestaurant.com.
