VAIL, Colorado - Representatives from the Vail Board of Realtors have announced the newly added availability of in-depth quarterly reports on the real estate market in Eagle County.
Available to the public through Realtors, the reports will combine year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter Eagle County data in addition to detailed reports on 19 specific neighborhoods.
"The decision by the board to provide these reports is based on our commitment to provide our members with current and reliable market data," says Julie Retzlaff, chairperson of the Vail Board of Realtors board of directors. "These new reports bring accurate and timely housing trends to light with an unparalleled perspective on local housing activity."
The reports will demonstrate market trends and provide detailed information about the market including new listings, pending sales, sold listings, median sold price, average sold price, percentage of list price received, days on the market, affordability index, active listings and trailing supply of inventory.
"The reports give a quick, easy-to-read snapshot of the market," Retzlaff said. "In the market overview, for example, sales activity is up 53 percent over the same time period last year and active listing inventory is down almost 24 percent. This type of information gives clients a good picture of what is happening in the Eagle County real estate market. This is an excellent example of the powerful information that is contained in these reports and illustrates why working with a Realtor benefits both buyers and sellers."
These new quarterly reports published and compiled by the Vail Board of Realtors are funded by the Colorado Association of Realtors and compiled from local MLS listings. The third quarter report is the first report published by Vail Board of Realtors and with each passing quarter more and more data will be compiled to create a very in-depth snapshot for buyers and sellers.
"CAR's purpose in funding these reports is to let each local association tell its own real estate market story," said Tyrone Adams, director of communication and events for Colorado Association of Realtors. "Trends can be vastly different from one part of Colorado to another and painting the Colorado real estate market picture with one brush doesn't accurately depict what differing areas are experiencing."
Reports will be available to the public through local Realtor. To find a Vail Board of Realtors member visit www.vbr.net. For more information about the Vail Board of Realtors, contact Amy Reid, association executive for the Vail Board of Realtors, at 970-766-1031.
