'As Vail Turns' to celebrate long-time residents

VAIL, Colorado - Three of Vail's most recognizable couples will be celebrated when the Vail Symposium and Vail's Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum join forces this Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, to host "As Vail Turns."

Honoring the colorful personalities of Pepi and Sheika Gramshammer, Paul and Janet Testwuide, and George and Rose Gillett, in a 45-minute satirical play written and performed by the Denver-based Curious Theater, "As Vail Turns" promises to be among the most memorable events of Vail's 50th anniversary season.

The evening commences at 6:30 p.m. at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort. Theater food and libations will be served, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction.

The evening will benefit the Vail Symposium and Vail's Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum and the stories from the production will be captured on video and added to the oral history archives at the Ski Museum.

"This will be the one Vail's 50th event you won't want to miss," said Ski Museum Executive Director Susie Tjossem. "Thank you to Betteridge and Vail Resorts Echo for kicking off our sponsorship commitments."

The following sponsorship opportunities are available:

• Pioneer Presenting $5,000: Benefits at this level include eight tickets to the event, premier seating at the event, acknowledgement at the event, and inclusion on all event collateral.
