Dear readers, please use your turn signal when exiting from, or changing lanes in, a roundabout.
This makes the drivers around you aware of where you are going. It's similar to when you are turning at an intersection, turning into a parking lot, or changing lanes on the interstate.
It also allows other drivers to safely enter the roundabout because you have signaled to them that you are exiting.
We all enjoy a little mystery from time to time, but I am not sure there is anything sexy or compelling about whether you are really going to leave the roundabout, make another lap, or swing across both lanes to exit.
And by readers, I mean you. Not the "tourists," or "gapers."
I mean you, the person who does not use your signal when exiting the roundabout. I've seen you in the off-season, too, so don't make that exclamatory innocent face.
Please use your turn signal when exiting from, or changing lanes in, a roundabout.
