River North Dance Chicago to perform at Beaver Creek

BEAVER CREEK - Knockout dancers, bold music and commanding choreography are the hallmarks of jazz-based contemporary company River North Dance Chicago, which takes the stage at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek on Jan. 29.

Founded in 1989 by four visionary dancers-choreographers, River North Dance Chicago is nationally and internationally recognized as one of Chicago's leading dance companies, as well as one of the country's most popular repertory companies. It's known for demonstrating depth and sophistication while creating an accessible, enriching experience for all audiences.

Under the direction of Artistic Director Frank Chaves, River North Dance Chicago brings a bold standard of excellence to the cultural scene of many communities. The company is well-known for its highly skilled and emotive dancers, stimulating music and commanding choreography.

The company is celebrated for its dynamic performances that combine athletic prowess and artistic perspective with bold, theatrical flair and is said to embody a true Americana flavor.

Most recently, the company was ranked second by the Chicago Tribune in its list of top 10 dance performances of the year.
