The Vail Valley Charitable Fund adds staff members

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado - The Vail Valley Charitable Fund, a nonprofit organization serving Eagle County, has announced the recent addition of two new staff members. Michelle Maloney has joined the Vail Valley Charitable Fund as the new executive director. She will be replacing longtime local and current executive director Karen Simon, who is leaving the Vail Valley with her husband and children in May due to Eric's recent promotion with Vail Resorts. Karen will certainly be missed; her actions as executive director for the past seven years made a huge impact on the Vail Valley Charitable Fund. She successfully raised awareness with the popular Vail Undressed Calendar and substantially increased fundraising.

Michelle Maloney has lived in the Vail Valley with her husband, Brian, since 1988, and together, they have four children ranging in age from 11 to 26. She has worked for Vail Resorts for 19 years and has been actively involved in nonprofits and other community organizations throughout Eagle County for as long as she has been a resident. Maloney said she is grateful for the opportunity to work for the Vail Valley Charitable Fund in a community that cares for one another.

The second new staff member, Fara Denhart, will fill the newly created position of marketing and events manager. Having lived in the valley for more than 17 years, Denhart is looking forward to the opportunity of putting her organizational and marketing skills to work supporting individuals and families in need.

The Vail Valley Charitable Fund is a nonprofit organization that has been helping local residents since 1996. Families or individuals who find themselves unable to cope with the financial burden that oftentimes results from enduring a medical crisis can apply for a grant from the Vail Valley Charitable Fund to help offset some of those costs.
