Stand up comedian Avi Liberman will perform in Edwards on Sunday. Liberman was born in Israel, raised in Texas, went to college in New York, and now lives in Los Angeles, which is to say his life experiences inform his comedy style. He describes his style as a "winning combination of life experiences and topical issues told through a varied blend of characters and voices with worldwide expertise."
Liberman is a favorite in comedy clubs across the U.S. and Israel.
He'll perform on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at a private home in Edwards. The evening is presented by the Chabad Jewish Center.
"Avi is hilarious! We're celebrating Jewish life here in the Vail Valley, and what better way than with huge laughs and delicious food," said Rabbi Dovid Mintz, one of the event organizers.
Liberman has performed stand-up comedy on CBS's Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, Make Me Laugh, as well as NBC's Friday Night. His acting credits include Dave's World on CBS, Boston Common on NBC and Andytown U.S.A. on Comedy Central. He can be seen regularly on E! as a frequent guest on their very popular countdown series.
Since 2001, Liberman has performed widely acclaimed stand-up comedy tours in Israel, donating all of the proceeds to a charity. The successful "Comedy For Koby" tour is now a bi-annual event, benefitting the Koby Mandell Foundation.
