I was so pleased to read Linda Stamper Boyne's column March 14 about feminism. I get really annoyed when I hear women say, "I support women's rights, but I'm not a feminist."
I am 80 and lived through years of feeling like a second-class citizen. I know what advances we've made and what I owe to so many activist women. I am a feminist and glad to say so.
My brother called himself a feminist (educated by his wife and daughters). My daughters are feminists (though I can't speak for all my granddaughters).
Thanks, Linda, for speaking up.
