EAGLE-VAIL, Colorado - Local attorney T.J. Voboril of Thompson, Brownlee and Voboril LLC has been selected to the 2013 Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Voboril is the only attorney named to this year's Colorado Super Lawyers or Rising Stars list who hails from the Summit and Eagle County region.
Included as a Rising Star in the business litigation category, Voboril is also a general civil litigator with considerable experience handling business, homeowners' association, real estate, construction, and employment disputes on behalf of a wide variety of business entities and individuals throughout Colorado. Voboril has successfully litigated in state and federal court and before arbitrators in addition to representing clients in mediation. Voboril is also the owner of and mediator for Voice of Reason Dispute Resolution.
Using his breadth of litigation experience, Voboril frequently and capably advises his clients on a litany of transactional and business matters. He often consults with his homeowners' association clients on a range of governance, management, and collections issues. As a trained mediator, he recognizes that economic, relationship, and other factors may sometimes call for resolution of disputes short of litigation. However, when a client's fortunes are on the line, Voboril 's focus is on prevailing at trial.
After graduating from Dartmouth College in 2002 with an A.B., cum laude, in geography, Voboril received his law degree from the University of Virginia School Of Law in 2005. He first practiced large-scale commercial and securities litigation at a mid-size firm in Atlanta before moving to Colorado and serving as a litigator at a small law firm in Vail.
Voboril is a doting father to his daughter Violet and best friends with his wife, Lauren. He is obsessed with skiing, loves riding his mountain bike, and valiantly tries not to catch himself while fly fishing on the local rivers. When not spending time with his family, practicing law, or recreating, Voboril engages in philanthropic endeavors through the Edwards Rotary Club and devotes pro bono time to legal and mediation work with Northwest Colorado Legal Services and the Eagle County Small Claims Court. Voboril is also an avid traveler and spent his honeymoon backpacking around the world for a year.
