VAIL - Families and their children, ages 2 to 10, should mark their calendars and join the Vail Recreation District for its annual free Easter Egg Hunt taking place Saturday in Lionshead. The free event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a visit by the Easter Bunny followed by a quest for prizes and eggs at 10 a.m. The event will be held rain, snow or shine and complimentary bags will be handed out to carry the eggs and prizes.
Following the hunt, participants are encouraged to check out the Imagination Station, a thoughtful play space located on the second level of the Lionshead Welcome Center. The Imagination Station offers children ages 2 to 12, and their families, a play wall that encourages active play integrating physical and cognitive learning; a light table and builder boards that inspire development and dexterity; a hyperbolic funnel that models planetary motion; and a Mad Scientist's Lab where children will make slime, "gak" and other messy projects. Imagination Station entrance fee of $5 will include one free photo print-out from the Easter Egg Hunt festivities.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own memory card or look for photos being taken during the hunt.

BEAVER CREEK - Beaver Creek Resort's traditional Easter events take place this weekend, including the 21st Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday followed by the interdenominational sunrise service on Sunday.
The Easter Bunny will be hosting Beaver Creek's 21st Annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 30. The festivities start at 10:30 a.m. in Creekside Park. The Egg Hunt includes 3,000 eggs followed by a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Parents should bring a camera and an Easter basket, or use one of the bags provided. Kids 12 and under can take part in the Easter Egg Hunt in waves according to age group.
On Sunday, Beaver Creek's traditional Easter sunrise interdenominational service will begin at 6 a.m. at Spruce Saddle on the mountain. The Centennial Express Lift (Chair 6) will open at 5:15 a.m. to transport guests to Spruce Saddle. The chairlift ride is complimentary and guests will not be permitted to bring skis or snowboards to the sunrise service. Downloading will be available immediately following the service.
Free parking will be available for sunrise service guests until 8:30 a.m. in Beaver Creek Village
