The Eagle Lions offers a "Big Thank You" to the Eagle community, friends, and neighbors who enjoyed the fun night at the Lions Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction March 22. Because of your gracious and spirited giving, we are happy to report that we met and exceeded our goal of $8,000 for this event! The generosity of local businesses who donated items, and the community support that enables them to give, allows the Lions to continue serving the people of our community. We are humbled by your generosity and are energized to continue to serve our community. The atmosphere this year was very wonderful to observe, such as the young bidder who was very focused on bidding for the Vail Resort Epic Ski Pass, so that her father would have a ski pass this year to ski with her.
The Lions also thank the Eagle Boy Scout Troop 222, including Yogi Wyrick, Ian Savage, Halsey Lucas, Kelby Denissen, Will Bashford, Ambrose Holcomb, Parker Labine; Scout leaders Larry Ferguson, Cindi Holcomb, Mindy Denissen, Tom Bashford; and Scout parent Laura Savage. Eagle Lions are sponsors for the Eagle Boy Scout Troop 222 and appreciate their service to this community and their volunteer assistance with this annual event that benefits this community.
Special friends of the Eagle Lions also graciously gave of their time, including Michelle and James Quenon, and Willie Fuhrman of Eagle, and Terry Siverly who traveled from Vail; all came to donate their time.
Lions also appreciate the assistance of the Eagle Elementary Secretary Angela Hart with the PA system and tables; Sandra Tapia, Teri Nelson, and Sharyn Smith with food prep; and Lion spouse Linda Verderber.
