Centennial Bank names Vail Valley officers

DENVER, Colorado - Centennial Bank has announced the addition of James Thomason as market president for the Vail Valley, as well as Kevin Armitage as president of the Edwards branch and Larry Cavanaugh as president of the Vail branch.

"All three of our new executives have tremendous experience in the banking industry within the Vail Valley and will be great assets for our organization," said Jim Basey, vice chairman, president and CEO of Centennial Bank. "Our branches will be greatly influenced by their leadership, knowledge of the market and customer relationships, and we look forward to expanding our presence in the Vail Valley with their guidance."

Thomason has 30 years of experience in the banking industry and joins Centennial Bank as market president for the Vail Valley. Prior to joining Centennial Bank, Thomason was a senior executive with other banking organizations in Vail. Thomason is involved with the Vail Valley community, holding positions on the Battle Mountain High School Accountability Board and the St. Patrick's Parrish Finance Council.

Armitage comes to Centennial Bank as president of the Edwards branch with nearly 15 years of experience in the banking industry. He specializes in SBA lending, residential and commercial real estate lending, and construction lending. Armitage received the 2011 Excellence in Small Business Lending Award as Most Active Western Slope Lender from Colorado Lending Source.

Cavanaugh has more than 16 years of experience in the Colorado banking industry and joins Centennial Bank as president of the Vail branch. In his new role, he will oversee day-to-day operations and drive financial growth for the branch with a focus on construction, commercial and consumer lending. He is currently serving as president of the Vail Christian High School Booster Club.
