New senior manager at Vail Mountain Adventure Center

VAIL - Vail Mountain recently announced the appointment of Mark Hendrickson to the position of senior manager at the Vail Mountain Adventure Center. Hendrickson will direct the summer mountain guest experience as well as year-round mountain activities for Vail Mountain. He will be based in Vail and will report directly to Paul Fillion, senior director of Vail Mountain operations.

"Mark's experience in a variety of mountain operations roles - particularly during the summer - will be a great asset to Vail, particularly as we look to expand our summer offerings for guests of all ages and abilities," Fillion said. "He's clearly proven his ability in growing a summer mountain program, and we look forward to his continued success here in Vail."

Hendrickson most recently was a summer operations manager for Mammoth Mountain, where he designed and built terrain parks and trail systems for all levels of mountain bike enthusiasts as well as various events. During his 16 years in Mammoth, he also held positions in retail sales and rentals, as a certified ski instructor and ski patroller and also as a bike park ranger for the resort. He has a bachelor's degree in recreation management from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
