EAGLE-VAIL - Starting May 1, certified yoga teacher, spiritual speaker and consultant, TeriLeigh Schmidt, will lead a series of energy workshops at Revolution Power Yoga for yoga students and teachers.
The seven main chakras are the energetic centers of the human body, according to many metaphysical traditions. Each chakra is numbered, and holds specific qualities related to physical energy and awareness.
Revolution Power Yoga will host three energetic workshops with Schmidt, visiting certified yoga teacher and spiritual speaker and consultant.
"Each of the seven major chakras habitually resides in one of four states: excessive, deficient, extreme and balanced," Schmidt said. "Like a light bulb on a dimmer switch, the chakra can be tuned to the ideal intensity."
Schmidt specializes in teaching the integration of the healing properties of the natural elements - earth, water, fire, nature, mineral --through yoga instruction and self-awareness and body mechanics workshops. Join her at one or all of her energetic workshops at Revolution Power Yoga, or schedule a private energetic consultation from May 2-8.
Chakras 1-3: May 1, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Part lecture, part yoga practice, and will work to attune the first three charkas (base of spine, slightly below naval, and slightly above naval), to create an ultimate state of balance. You will learn the basic behaviors and tendencies to watch for in the excessive and deficient states of each chakra.
Chakras 4 - 7: May 3, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Part lecture, part yoga practice, and will work to balance chakras 4 through 7 (center of chest, throat, forehead, and top of head). You will learn the basic behaviors and tendencies to watch for in the excessive and deficient states of each chakra.
Advanced Energetics: May 4, 9 to 11 a.m.
This workshop is designed to help students and teachers dive deeper into the energetics of a yoga practice.
"Because of TeriLeigh's ability to see and read the energy of the human body, this workshop is a unique experience from which you are guaranteed to walk away with a newfound understanding of your body and your practice," said Julie Kiddoo, studio co-owner and certified yoga teacher. "This will be a great class for yoga teachers and students alike."
