VAIL — Vail Mountain, one of the largest and leading ski resorts in the world, is re-imagining the nighttime experience in the Colorado Rocky Mountains this winter with Decimo, an elevated event located at 10,250 feet above sea level at The 10th. Decimo — on Fat Tuesday — will feature three-time Grammy nominee, DJ, producer and artist Paul Oakenfold.
“Decimo is the latest example of how Vail has set itself apart as the premier winter destination for discerning guests from around the world,” said Chris Jarnot, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Vail Mountain. “Decimo will complete the ultimate winter guest experience in Vail, inside and out, from dusk to dawn.”
On Tuesday night, Decimo will blend service with the entertainment of Paul Oakenfold, who recognized as the original pioneer of DJ culture. From the DJ booth of dance floors and festivals all around the world, to the studio producing groundbreaking remixes or soundtracks for Hollywood blockbuster movies, Oakenfold’s diversity as an artist and ability as a performer have earned him accolades from critics and fans.
The event will begin at the base of Vail’s Gondola One in Vail Village. From there, guests will be carried to mid-mountain. Just steps away from the top of the gondola, The 10th will undergo a transformation from a restaurant to an entertainment destination for Decimo.
Gondola One will open at 9 p.m. for ticketed guests over the age of 21 with proper identification and who adhere to the mountain chic dress code. For information on tickets and various VIP packages, visit www.decimo vail.com or call 970-754-2466.
