EAGLE COUNTY — Alpine Banks recently announced three promotions in its area banks. The three people with new jobs are:
• Matt Teeters, executive vice president, Avon.
Teeters began his career with Alpine Bank in January 2006. Originally from Denver, he graduated from Grinnell College with a bachelor’s degree in economics in May 2005 and recently completed his MBA from the University of Denver, with graduation slated for August of this year. In addition to working at the bank, Matt also serves as president of the Eagle River Youth Coalition, treasurer of the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability, and as board member for the Eagle Valley Family Assistance Fund. In February, Matt was elected as Vail Valley’s Young Professional of the Year. Recreationally, he enjoys traveling with his wife, playing softball, mountain biking, and skiing.
• David Miller to vice president, Avon.
Miller started with Alpine Bank in 2004, bringing with him more than 25 years of technology, business and consulting experience. He originally hails from the south shore of Long Island, New York. He holds a masters degree in social policy research from the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, Bryn Mawr College and a bachelor’s degree with distinction in all subjects, social science/engineering from the College of Human Ecology, Cornell University. David is active in the community and currently serves as chair for the Local Advisory Committee of KRMJ (Rocky Mountain PBS), on Mesa County School District 51’s Gifted and Talented Education Advisory Council, and numerous other volunteer efforts. David also chairs Alpine Bank’s Green Team. He enjoys outdoor activities, the fine and performing arts, and travel with his wife, Anne Wenzel, and their children, Emily and Jeremy.
• Brian Nestor, assistant vice president, Vail.
Brian grew up in the small town of Hugo. He attended the University of Denver and in 2009, graduated from the Daniels College of Business with a degree in finance and economics. Brian is currently attending the Graduate School of Banking at Boulder. He is board member and treasurer for the United Way of Eagle River Valley and also volunteers his time with the Vail Valley Foundation’s Youth Foundation. In his spare time, Brian enjoys hunting, fishing, snowboarding, cycling, four-wheeling, and training his German shorthair, Lexi.
