VAIL — The Inspired Fashion Show takes place on Thursday at 8 p.m. Samana Lounge in Vail. This is a runway fashion show featuring talented Vail locals including Gretchen Snyder who will host and model at the event. The theme of the show is “Morning until Night,” portraying a day in the life of a fashion model. Music will be provided by DJ Koncept. Snyder has been in fashion shows, on television and in motion pictures. In addition, Ashley Harper, a contestant from season 17 of the Bachelor, will be modeling. Admission to the show is $20. Proceeds will go towards First Descents and the Wounded Warrior Project. White attire is encouraged but not required.
First Descents offers young adult cancer fighters and survivors a free outdoor adventure experience designed to empower them to climb, paddle and surf beyond their diagnosis, defy their cancer, reclaim their lives and connect with others doing the same. Visit http://firstdescents.org to learn more.
The Wounded Warrior Project raises awareness and enlists the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, helps injured service members aid and assist each other and provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. Peter Fralick of Avon is producing this event. Fralick got the idea by talking to friend in Pittsburgh who did his own fashion show for charity.
“After that conversation, I was inspired to do the same thing, hence the name Inspired Fashion,” Fralick said. “I was lucky to find Gretchen, First Descents and Samana Lounge. They all loved the idea and helped make this fashion show a reality!”
The show will last about 45 minutes. Contact Fralick with any questions at 970-470-3233.
