AVON —Join Walking Mountains Science Center on Saturday for a morning of papermaking with artist Helen Hiebert. Attendees will take a nature walk and collect plant material to embed in the paper, then pound plant fibers to a pulp using a blender and mallets, and finally, will make paper using a simple tin can papermaking set-up, which each participant can take home and use for further papermaking experimentation. Hiebert will have copies of her books on hand for those who wish to delve further into the craft.
