EAGLE-VAIL — Homestake Peak School’s drama club is getting the litter back together again as they present Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Thursday night. The show starts at 7 p.m. in the Peak Auditorium at Homestake Peak School in Eagle-Vail. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a fundraising bake sale immediately following the show.
In Disney’s “101 Dalmatians,” the happy household of Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita and their “human pets,” Roger and Anita, is thrown into a state of chaos when their newborn puppies are stolen along with other Dalmatians from the London area. The fashionable, fur-loving Cruella DeVil is the likely suspect in this scheme. With Pongo, Perdita and a resourceful group of animal allies hot on the trail of the missing puppies, Cruella, and her clumsy cohorts, the comedy chases along in high gear.
The production is directed by Matt Miller in his directorial debut in the Peak Auditorium.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the cast of 101 Dalmations,” said Miller. “I am so happy to have worked with this talented group of young actors and musicians.”
Rehearsals for Dalmatians began in early September, and the kids are ready for the show.
“Their enthusiasm and energy lights up the stage and they are going to rock the house,” Miller said.
Heading the cast are:
Phoebe Walters: Cruella De Vil
Aaron Chausignand: Horace
Bode Kirchenr: Jasper
Ryan Huck: Roger
Sophia Campanale: Nanny
Kaitlin Knapp: Pongo
Alaena Knapp: Perdita
