Vail library hosts Colorado author Maggie Sefton

Join the Vail Public Library on Wednesday, for a book discussion with Maggie Sefton, New York Times bestselling author of the “Berkley Prime Crime Kelly Flynn Mysteries,” set in Colo. Sefton is also the author of the “Molly Malone Suspense” series, set in Sefton’s hometown, Washington, D.C. Sefton will also be prepared to answer questions about traditional publishing as well as the new world of e-book publishing.

Sefton’s “Knitting Mystery” series is about the adventures of Kelly Flynn, an accountant in Washington, D.C., who goes to Fort Connor, Colo., when she inherits her Aunt Helen’s estate. Kelly is intrigued by the nearby needlework shop and meets a number of new friends through it. Sefton recently released the 11th book in the “Knitting Mystery” series.

Sefton was first published in historical fiction in 1995 with “Abilene Gamble,” under the pen name Margaret Conlan. She wrote more than a million words of historical romance fiction before she ever wrote the first mystery, “Dying To Sell,” with real estate agent sleuth Kate Doyle, published by Five Star/Tekno Mysteries in 2005. Sefton has been a CPA and a real estate agent in the Rocky Mountain west, but said nothing can match creating worlds on paper.

This program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. For more information call 970-479-2187.
