VAIL — The Hampstead Stage Company is proud to present "A Christmas Carol" at the Vail Public Library at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The library is located at 292 W. Meadow Drive. Celebrating 30 years of bringing books to life, the Hampstead Stage Company's two professional actors will portray multiple characters with quick costume changes and dialects.
Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" is a story that is both timeless and universal. It is the delightful tale of the miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, and his clerk, Bob Cratchit. Through visits from the spirits of the season, Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas. In this charming tale, actors hope to educate those who attend about the class system of Victorian England and encourage them to help others that are less fortunate than they are.
The mission of the Hampstead Stage Company is to educate audiences throughout the country by bringing classic literature to life through live theater. This sparks an interest in reading the classics, instills a love and appreciation of the arts, and preserves theater for future generations. Please join us as we celebrate one of Charles Dickens' most beloved stories.
This program is free. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, please call 970-479-2187.
