Chefs in the Garden returns to Vail’s Betty Ford Gardens

Chef Richard Bailey kicks off the Chefs in the Gardens series at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens at noon on Thursday. Learn some cooking tips, try some tasty food and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Bailey is a local favorite because his versatility is evident in the multiple talents he brings to his signature cuisine. He is known for his clever use of ingredients and his ability to surprise and delight his guests with his latest inspirations. Every food creation is prepared from scratch, featuring the freshest seasonal ingredients.
“I am determined to challenge the way my guests view and savor the taste of good food,” he said.
Bailey was raised in the Sonoma Valley. He appreciates an array of savory dishes, but his culinary interests focus on California cuisine with an Asian flair. He brings to the garden a culinary career spanning 30 years, sharing eight of these years in Vail as executive chef at the Lodge at Cordillera and executive chef at Lord Gore at Manor Vail Lodge.
