Dance for $20.13 tickets on sale Thursday

VAIL — Dance for $20.13, a varied collection of dance performances at a popular price, will return on Aug. 6 at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Vail Valley Foundation's Vail International Dance Festival at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater.
From contemporary dance to classical ballet pieces, Dance for $20.13 presents a variety of dance styles to appeal to people of all interests. Reserved seating for this mixed-bill performance are $20.13 and general admission lawn seats are priced at $13.
Tickets for Dance for $20.13 will go on sale today at 11 a.m. and will be available for purchase, along with other 2013 Dance Festival performances online at vaildance.org, by calling the box office at 888-920-2787 or in person at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek or Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, which is now open for the 2013 summer season.
Damian Woetzel, the festival's artistic director, brings Dance for $20.13 to life once more in an effort to make dance more accessible to everyone by offering it at affordable pricing.
Legendary modern dance choreographer Paul Taylor and the Paul Taylor Dance Company will perform this year along with New York City Ballet principal dancers Tiler Peck and Robert Fairchild. Lil Buck and New Styles Krew will demonstrate their unique style of dance, Memphis jookin', which pairs superhuman balance with impeccable flexibility and precise footwork. Additionally, Keigwin + Company, a contemporary dance company from New York will also dance at the festival.
