AVON — The inaugural Flavors of Colorado festival brings together Colorado-based musicians, restaurants, artists, craft beer and spirits to celebrate and discover all things Colorado. The weekend-long festival is Friday through Sunday and free to attend. The musical line-up is filled with top talent from around the state, including some nationally known acts.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better musical lineup for the Flavors of Colorado,” said Jeff Brausch, founder and CEO of Highline, the event organizer. “It’s an honor to have this very talented group of musicians that call Colorado home, excited to participate in the event, and better yet, the performances are free to the public.”

The 2014 line-up includes: Todd Park Mohr (the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for Big Head Todd & the Monsters for over 25 years), The Congress, Filthy Children, Delta Sonics, Eminence Ensemble, Finders & Youngberg, Dixie Leadfoot, Bonnie & The Clydes and The Laughing Bones. Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd & The Monsters will be taking the stage as the headlining act Saturday evening and Bonnie & The Clydes, a six-piece country band from the Front Range, will perform at Friday night’s Farm to Chef’s Table charity dinner.

In addition to music, the festival is full of educational events all tied to back to local artisans and their craft. Expect food and drink tastings, live music, panel discussions, cooking demonstrations, an art showcase and activities for the kids.
