Vail Living Well Experience comes to Sonnenalp in July

VAIL — Sonnenalp Hotel will present the second Vail Living Well Experience in conjunction with Vail Living Well July 25-28, 2013, continuing to promote Vail as a destination for health and well-being. The July event, “Women: Living In Balance,” focuses on how to balance all aspects of health and well-being in daily life. Like all Vail Living Well programs and events, attendees will learn, connect, share, engage and have fun through interactive and experiential programs.

A world-renowned leader in women’s health, Dr. Saralyn Mark will facilitate daily discussions and activities throughout the retreat. Mark will focus on leading edge research regarding gender differences as they relate to exercise, medicine, aging and other aspects of women’s health. Additionally, Dr. Nanette Santoro will lead discussions on hormonal health, Dr. Cheryl Chessick will lead emotional health discussions, and nutritionist Julie Hill will lead discussions about specific women’s needs in nutrition for both the athlete and for daily life.

The event is hosted by Sonnenalp Hotel, a luxury hotel located in Vail Village. This Bavarian-inspired landmark is known for its four on-site restaurants, as well as the Sonnenalp Spa, Sonnenalp Golf Club and proximity to all outdoor activities Vail has to offer.

“With our relaxing locale along Gore Creek and pristine mountain views, our Vail Living Well Experience guests will reside in the best learning environment possible,” said Patricia McNamara, director of sales and marketing at Sonnenalp. “We take great pride in hosting an event like this and we are eager for all attendees to have the best weekend possible during the ‘Women: Living in Balance’ Sonnenalp signature event.”

Outdoor activities include a guided hike by celebrated endurance and athletic coach Ellen Miller, a birding and picnicking hike lead by Master Birder Dr. Cheryl Chessick, and a functional movement and balance training session by Laina Eskin, Founder of Align Vail.
