Crazy Mountain Brewery's Ed Fest set for Aug. 17 in Edwards

EDWARDS — On Aug. 17, Crazy Mountain Brewing Company will host the third annual Ed Fest: a beer and community festival from 3-7 p.m. “Ed” is short for Edwards, and this festival will take place in The Riverwalk at Edwards.

More than 35 breweries will showcase craft beers from around the nation and even parts of Europe. Festival-goers can sample beers from Lagunitas, Avery, Ommegang, Duvel, Firestone Walker, Odell, Sierra Nevada, Colorado Cider and more.

Aside from the beer selection, the event will also offer amazing live entertainment by Hot Buttered Rum, a nationally-touring progressive bluegrass band from San Francisco. They frequently perform at music festivals such as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, South by Southwest and Bonnaroo Music Festival.

The entertainment will continue with after-parties hosted in The Riverwalk at e|town and Main St. Grill. After-parties will feature drink specials and great music.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Eagle Valley Land Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving open lands for people — for the views, recreation, wildlife, agriculture and Colorado landscapes right here in the Eagle River Valley.

Pre-sale tickets to Ed Fest are $35 and available online at www.edfestbeer.com. Tickets will be $40 at the door. New this year, VIP tickets are available to the public for $65 and include admission to a VIP food and beer pairing at Crazy Mountain Brewery on Aug. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., Ed Fest entry fee, access to VIP Tent with private restroom area and Crazy Wagon food truck ticket.
