EDWARDS — The Bookworm of Edwards will host a meet and greet book signing for Ginny Brock, author of “By Morning’s Light,” Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Her recently released book is the true story of a mother’s reconnection with her 26-year-old son Drew, in the hereafter. Drew lived and worked in the Vail Valley for nearly five years until his sudden passing in 2008 – the same year he was awarded the Ritz Carlton’s Five Star Employee of the Year Award.
The year following her son’s death was for Ginny, a magical year filled with dreams that weren’t really dreams but visits, messages from him and signs that were so compelling as to defy the notion of coincidence, leaving her convinced that her son’s spirit had survived death. It began with a vision five days after her son’s passing when the author was, incredibly, surrounded by luminescent light and found herself in the presence of her son’s spirit.
“By Morning’s Light” has been nominated by the Library of Virginia for its 16th annual Literary Award in the non-fiction category. Ginny’s introductions to her book are fun, and actively seek attendee participation. Ginny invites questions and comments, and encourages people to share their own experiences. Written with warmth, humor and love, “By Morning’s Light” delivers a powerful and uplifting message to anyone who has ever lost someone they love.
Born in Johannesburg South Africa, Ginny has lived in many parts of the world and now makes her home at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. Her journalism career spans 30 years, and she has two more books currently in the works.
“By Morning’s Light” is available at the Bookworm of Edwards, and all major bookstores nationwide, Amazon.com and other on-line bookstores in e-book and print. Copies will be available for purchase at the signing. The event is free and open to the public. Call 970-926-READ to learn more.
