EAGLE — The 5th annual Winter Market and Holiday Fair returns to Eagle Nov. 22 and 23. The event is a showcase of locally and regionally hand-crafted items and is perfect for everyone on your holiday shopping list.
The fun and festive marketplace is slated for 4 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 23.
The Winter Market and Holiday Fair is one-stop shopping for holiday gifts for everyone, even pets. Up to 50 vendors will display a wide variety of goods such as kitchen items, jewelry, bath and beauty products, home decor, scarves and hats, ornaments, cards and photos and tasty treats.
Admission is free with donations of nonperishable food items for the Vail Valley Salvation Army food pantry. Salvation Army volunteers will gather at the event on Saturday to pack up Thanksgiving food baskets for distribution to area families in need.
Winter Market and Holiday Fair highlights include pet and family photos with Santa from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 22, provided by Castle Peak Veterinary Service for a $5 donation to Longmont Humane Society for flood relief. For added fun, attendees can enter a photo contest by uploading their favorite pet photo with Santa to the Always Mountain Time app, along with a brief note explaining why they should win. The prize is a $75 gift certificate from Castle Peak Veterinary Service. Tsu Wolin-Brown, the Vail Valley Salvation Army director, will choose the winning photo.
On Nov. 23, enjoy seasonal music from the Dickens Carolers from 10 to 11 a.m. and free face painting from 2 to 5 p.m.
“The Winter Market and Holiday Fair makes for truly stress-free holiday shopping,” said Janet Thrasher, the event’s organizer. “Plus, it’s a great way to buy local and support Colorado crafts people.”
Fair visitors can round out their shopping in downtown Eagle and enjoy a warm meal at one of Eagle’s cozy and friendly restaurants before, during or after the event.
