Cocktail seminars, beer pairings and more at FEAST! Vail

VAIL — FEAST! Vail continues Sunday and Monday in Vail Village.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

SUNDAY

8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Belay and Brunch, Vail Vitality Center & Terra Bistro, Vail. A custom indoor climbing experience with expert guides. Once you’re back on solid ground, you’ll be rewarded with a mouthwatering brunch and signature beverages to quench your thirst. Open to all ability levels.

9 to 10:30 a.m. Casting Clinic presented by Fly Fishing Outfitters, Gore Creek Promenade, Vail. Begin your day with a custom fly-fishing clinic with some of the best-known local anglers from Fly Fishing Outfitters as well as renowned local chef, Kelly Liken. Open to all ability levels.

11 a.m. to Noon, “Sides” Session 1

Choose from:

“Pizza and Beer Pairing” with Blue Moose Manager David Roche and a beer pro from Stella Artois; Blue Moose, Lionshead.

“How to Make Bavarian Kaesespaetzle cheese dumplings” with Executive Chef of Sonnenalp Hotel, Florian Schwarz; Swiss Chalet, Vail.

“Austrian Wines - Gruener and Beyond” with Beverage Director Andreas Harl of Matsuhisa; Matsuhisa, Vail.

“Champagne Cocktails, Old and New,” with Elway’s Sommelier, Jim Lay; Elway’s, Vail.

Noon to 1:30 p.m. Pinot Boot Camp, Bol, Vail. Join masters of the vine, Nick Noesen and Damon Ornowski, as you dive deep into all things Pinot: providing a window into the capacity of Pinots to reflect the unique characteristics on the regions they are grown, and different styles and personalities that are reflected in the pours. Event includes full-bodied cheeses.

12:30 to 1:30 p.m. “Sides” Session 2

Choose from:

“Pizza and Beer Pairing” with Blue Moose Manager David Roche and a beer pro from Stella Artois; Blue Moose, Lionshead.

“Rocky Mountain High Rub Class” with Chef Edison Mays of Flame, Vail; Flame, Vail.

“Cocktails of South America,” with Elway’s Sommelier, Jim Lay; Elway’s, Vail.

MONDAY

8 a.m. Vail Valor Races; Valor Marathon, Marathon Relay, Half Marathon, 5M Run/Walk, 1M Family Run. Runners and walkers will be treated to views of the Gore Range as they begin the morning races. Post-race brunch presented by FEAST! Vail, technical t-shirt, and Valor finisher included with registration. The Vail Veterans Program is the official charity partner and a portion of registrations will be donated to the VVP to support this worthwhile organization. Sign up solo or form a team; come for a day or come for the weekend. Challenge yourself and pay tribute to our nation’s heroes. Register on www.active.com.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial Day Brunch, Gore Creek Drive, Vail. Celebrate the holiday as you sample brunch items from different open-aired mess halls. Each mess hall will highlight a different active military and Vail Veterans Program alumni.
