Franti, friends throwing fundraising party in Vail

VAIL — Musician Michael Franti and friends will be throwing the party of the year during Super Bowl weekend, taking the stage to kick off the big game. Tickets and sponsorships are now available for the fundraiser, being held at the Four Seasons in Vail at 3 p.m. Feb. 1, co-hosted by Margie Hamrick. The event raises funds for the nonprofit Do It For The Love Foundation. Guests will enjoy food and drinks. For the grand finale, guests are invited to an after party with music by Michael Franti and Jason Spooner.

“Do It For The Love and I will be throwing the party of the year during Super Bowl weekend,” said Michael Franti. “I can’t think of a better way to spend a day in Vail than with football and friends. After the big game, I’ll be playing some music, along with the talented Jason Spooner, and enjoying what promises to be an epic party. It all benefits Do It For The Love, a wish-granting foundation, founded by my partner, Sara and I, which brings people living with life-threatening illnesses, children with severe challenges and wounded veterans to live concerts. Through the healing power of music, we inspire joy, hope and lasting celebratory memories in the face of severe illness or trauma. Let’s raise some money for those who need the gift of live music most while having a great time!”
