Crazy Mountain Brewery hosts winter beer and cheese pairing event

EDWARDS — On Friday, Crazy Mountain Brewing Company will host a winter beer and cheese pairing at its tasting room. The event will pair five artisanal cheeses with five Crazy Mountain beers, including the winter seasonal styles.

There will be Shepherd’s Halp Sheep’s Milk Cheese from Fruition Farms in Larkspur; Cabra Blanca Goat’s Milk Cheese from Avalanche Cheese Co. in Basalt; Penta Creme Blu Cow’s Milk Cheese from Carr Valley, Wis.; Tea Hive Ceddar from Beehive Cheese Co. in Utah; and Marieke Golden Aged Gouda from Holland Family Cheese in Wisconsin. The beers will be Hookiebobb India Pale Ale, Snowcat Coffee Stout, Old Soul Strong Belgian Golden Ale, Crazy Mountain Amber Ale and Bridge Street Holiday Ale.

Tickets must be purchased in advance from Crazy Mountain’s tasting room in Edwards or by credit card over the phone at 970-926-3009. They are $15 per person. The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m., so ticket holders may stop by during that time to enjoy a self-guided beer and cheese pairing. Space is limited, so this event is expected to sell out.

Crazy Mountain is also welcoming famed travel and landscape photographer Joseph Roybal to the tasting room on Friday evening. His photography will be on display, and you can meet Roybal and review his portfolio starting at 5 p.m. He will give a talk about his photography experiences all over the world and have a Q&A session starting at 6 p.m. where guests can ask him photography questions about lighting, scouting, technique and more. This photography presentation is complimentary to attend and does not require advance reservations.

For more information about the beer and cheese pairing or the photography talk, call 970-926-3009.
