Gypsum goes German for Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 7

The guys at Bonfire Brewing in Eagle have fashioned a special beer to help the fine folks in their neighboring community celebrate this weekend. With a name like Gyptoberfest, it has to be memorable.

The Gypsum Chamber, town of Gypsum and Gypsum Recreation Center will celebrate the community's inner oompa this Saturday at their annual Oktoberfest celebration. Everyone is urged to break out their lederhosen and dirndls and join in the fun.

The celebration will include live music by Fifty 50, games, contests and a bounce house. Party attendees can purchase traditional German food along with the special event brew.

The fun gets under way at 1 p.m. at Gypsum's Lundgren Theater Park.
