On Thursday, Feb. 23, Agave welcomes Trevor Hall to the stage. Hall’s music — an eclectic mix of acoustic rock, reggae and Sanskrit chanting — echoes with the names and teachings of divinities, while maintaining a universal message. While on the road, Hall sees the stage as his moving temple, a place where he can share in the experience of his spiritual journey with his audience. He uses donations collected at his live shows to help support an ashram in Allahabad, India, the home of his guru, where underprivileged and orphaned boys and girls are given the chance at a better life and a traditional Vedic education. Opening for Hall is Dustin Thomas, an advocate for social and environmental justice known for his unique blend of beat-box, soul and folk. Tickets are $30. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., and the show starts at 10 p.m. Call 970-748-8666, or visit http://www.agaveavon.com for more information.
