On Jan. 24, Sheila Hutchison died quietly at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs. She was 64 years old.
Sheila was born to Olin and Wilma Wilmon in Denver. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Hutchison, in 1967 and spent her life as a housewife and devoted mother.
She and Ken moved to Gypsum in 1995, where she proceeded to do the things she loved: hiking with her dogs, going to the Avon Recreation Center and doing water aerobics with her friends. Her faith and her church were important parts of her life.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Dolores Stevens; son, William (Billy) Hutchison; sister, Brenda Archuleta; grandchildren Chantell, Mega, and Jake; and great grandson, Gage. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service in celebration of her life was held Saturday at the Gypsum United Methodist Church, located at 118 Eagle Street.
