Vail Mountain School hosting 22nd annual garage sale

VAIL — One of the valley’s largest garage sales is scheduled for this weekend.

Vail Mountain School is hosting its 22nd annual family garage sale. The event features new and used items donated by VMS families and local stores Nest, Treasures, Holy Toledo and Ritzy Recalls.

The event will be held at VMS and fills the school’s dining hall and part of the gymnasium.

“We’ve had a constant stream of fantastic donations both new and used from hundreds of families,” said VMS parent Sue Franciose, one of the organizers of the event. “We have furniture, rows and rows of clothing, appliances, toys, electronics, baby items, sporting goods, bikes, skis, artwork, house wares, linens, and much, much more.”

Most adult clothing is $5 per item with children’s clothing starting at $3, and shoes priced at $5 a pair.

The ale is sponsored by VMS Parent Partners and proceeds benefit students at Vail Mountain School. All unsold items will be donated to the Eagle Valley Community Rummage Sale.

Early bird shopping begins at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Admission is $5 and adults; children are admitted free. Admission is free on Saturday.

Half prices start at 11 a.m. Fill a bag begins at 1 p.m. for $20.
