EAGLE — Dr. Matthew Ehrlich of Eye Center of the Rockies recently announced the addition of Dr. Jason Larsen to the staff at the Eagle and Glenwood Springs offices. As a doctor of optometry, Larsen will provide complete primary eye care, including comprehensive eye exams, screenings and treatment of most medical eye conditions.
Larsen received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University and went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston. He honed his medical and optical skills in Houston following graduation, providing primary eye care and consultation. For the past 15 years Larsen has been part of a medical ophthalmology practice in California, while also teaching optometry technician courses.
As a doctor with Eye Center of the Rockies, Larsen will specialize in primary eye care including, patients’ needs for contact lenses, glasses and prescription sunglasses. An active outdoorsman and contact lens wearer himself, he feels strongly that many contact lens wearers are not matched properly with the correct type of lens to complement individual optical needs and lifestyle.
“With a choice between gas permeable, rigid and soft lenses available, especially with the unique conditions we experience with our altitude and climate, it’s critical to make the right selection for each individual,” Larsen said.
