1. Hike Kinnickinnick. After being closed for years due to construction projects (including The 10th restaurant, Gondola One and the Chair 4 Mountain Top Express Lift), the Kinnickinnick hiking trail on Vail Mountain is now open again, taking guests from Mid Vail to the tops of Chairs 3 and 4. For a great gondola-to-gondola hike, ride Gondola One to the Kinnickinnick Trail, hike it to the Sunlight and Ridge Route trails leading you down to Eagle’s Nest, and then ride the Eagle Bahn back down.
2. Check out The Williams Brothers at the Colorado-Eagle River Ride after party For the first time ever, the Colorado-Eagle River Ride will wrap up with a festival finish at the Beaver Creek Landing. The party will be from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will include great food from the Dusty Boot Steakhouse & Saloon and cold drinks from Bonfire and Crazy Mountain breweries. The celebration is open to the public, so even non-riders are invited to cheer on the participants and enjoy a great afternoon. The Williams Brothers Band is scheduled to start playing at 1 p.m.
