1See Trace Adkins — The Vilar Performing Arts Center’s Summer Concert Series continues tonight with Trace Adkins. Adkins has been a force in the country industry since the release of his 1996 album, “Dreamin’ Out Loud,” on which the song “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing” hit No. 1 on the charts and established Adkins as a rising star. He has been releasing country albums ever since and has an immeasurable repertoire of hit songs under his belt. Tickets are $125 and are available at vpac.com. The Vail Veterans Program will receive $10 of every ticket purchased.
2Ride Lee’s Way — The newest mountain biking trail to open in the Vail Valley is Lee’s Way, named after trail pioneer Lee Rimel. It’s located in the West Avon Preserve and is part of a series of new trails in that area. The trail can be as difficult as you want it to be. There are sections at the top where advanced riders can catch air and fun banked turns that allow you to get horizontal as you negotiate them. Find trailhead parking at Beaver Creek Point in Wildridge.
